WELCOME TO STING WEST TEXAS. THIS AREA OF OUR SITE GIVES INFORMATION ON ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS, OUR CLUB TEAMS AND STAFF HELD IN THIS DIVISION
STING WEST TEXAS FIELDS ARE BASED AT OUR LEE SPORTS COMPLEX.
Boasting competitive girls and boys Club Teams at every age group (U19-U11) and Academy level teams from U10-U7, girls and boys, we offer a fantastic environment for your child to develop their soccer education and learn from the city's best developmental staff and leadership.
With our ever expanding reach, our players compete in the highest available platforms, currently the ECNL (spots in Austin and Dallas), the ECRL (spots in Austin and Dallas) and the ECRL USC (Spots in Austin and Dallas), amongst multiple other regional and local platforms (more about them below).
STING WEST TEXAS OFFERS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL AGES, BOYS AND GIRLS
WITH OUR WEST TEXAS DIVISION BOASTING MULTIPLE LEVELS OF PLAY ON MULTIPLE PLATFORMS, THERE ARE MANY WAYS FOR OUR ATHLETES TO LEARN AND ENJOY THE GAME.
Our elite girls teams play in the Girls Classic League, the Regional Player League, Red River National Premier League, Plano Youth Soccer and the Texas Club Soccer League. They are given a great opportunity to compete against the very best teams in Texas with further chances to compete in national events at the end of the season, based on team rankings.
There are also opportunities to play in the ECNL, ECRL and the ECRL USC (spots in Austin and Dallas).
Our boys Sting teams compete in the Elite Academy League (spots in Dallas), the Classic League Dallas amongst other competitive platforms. These organizations present a competitive environment to further their development. We also offer our younger athletes a wonderful environment to learn and play the beautiful game, with the Sting Academy developing and educating multiple fundamental areas of the game.
ECNL - THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF NATIONAL SOCCER AVAILABLE TO ATHLETES
THE ECNL WAS FOUNDED IN 2009 AS A CHALLENGE TO THE STATUS QUO OF YOUTH SOCCER.
With a vision to be better with independent governance and leadership structures. The ECNL Board of Directors and staff govern all programs and platforms. The ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer.

ECRL - THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF REGIONAL SOCCER AVAILABLE TO ATHLETES
FOLLOWING THE EXACT SAME PHILOSOPHIES AND PRINCIPLES AS THE ECNL, THE ECRL PROVIDES HIGH LEVEL COMPETITION FOR CLUBS AT A REGIONAL LEVEL.
Originally formed and then expanded in 2018, the league continues to demand and enhance the overall experience of every athlete by creating a better, more enjoyable, and more successful player, coach and development model.
ECNL Girls Regional Leagues are operated and managed so as to ensure a consistent environment and level of professionalism across all leagues, facilitating more club connectivity between levels of play and providing a path for more players within each Member Club to reach their fullest potential.
Each league allows for coordination and collaboration between the teams of different levels within ECNL clubs, or opportunity for teams and players in other clubs to develop through regular high-level competition.
The ECNL Girls Regional Leagues will offer a pathway to an ECNL Girls Regional League Post-Season, featuring two stages.
The ECNL Regional League Championship Series will consist of four regional events held across the country to qualify into the ECNL Regional League Finals along with additional automatic qualifiers from ECNL Regional Leagues, which will be held in conjunction with the ECNL Girls Post-Season.
EA - THE ELITE ACADEMY LEAGUE PROVIDES A NATIONAL PLATFORM FOR STING BOYS
THE ELITE ACADEMY LEAGUE HAS A MISSION TO PROVIDE A NATIONAL PLATFORM WITH A STANDARDS BASED LEAGUE.
The Elite Academy League is composed of member clubs that represent Elite competitive clubs in their market and have shown to be of the standard and will benefit from being part of this platform. By unifying clubs from within the conferences, we have maintained the defining standards of previous elite platforms with a collective approach to making sure the platform sits atop the youth landscape.
Their vision is to sit atop the youth landscape providing Elite Academy clubs and leaders the opportunity to guide the league and have autonomy to develop the game in the US.
This league will serve to provide a seamless elite pathway for clubs and players to excel in the competitive landscape.
GIRLS WEST TEXAS PLAYER PATHWAY
THE STING GIRLS PLAYER PATHWAY (WEST TEXAS) OFFERS MULTIPLE LEVELS OF COMPETITION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR PLAYERS OF ALL SKILL LEVELS.
The Girls Classic League is the highest level of competitive regional youth soccer we currently offer our athletes, amongst various other platforms, with spots available in Austin and Dallas for the ECNL, ECRL and the ECNL-RL STX

WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD TO BE ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SOCCER CLUBS IN THE U.S.
For over 45 years we have developed and guided an incredible amount of athletes. They have continued their soccer education and pursued their dreams of winning and participating in elite level competitions, representing their country at the national level and playing professional soccer in over 10 countries.
As a club that prides itself on competing at the very highest level, we have achieved multiple national championships, as well as creating a pathway to college soccer for all of our graduating athletes, with an extremely high percentage of those in our programs offered a college scholarship.

STING WEST TEXAS HOLD TRYOUTS TWICE A YEAR, ALLOWING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL ATHLETES INTERESTED IN RECEIVING HIGH-QUALITY TRAINING AND COMPETITIVE LEAGUE PLAY
OUR TRYOUT PROCEDURES.
1. REGISTRATION
When our tryouts are open, you will need to register online to ensure a quick checkin-in process. More information to follow when the tryout process is started.
2. CHECK IN
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the tryouts begin. Players will be assigned a number that is to be used throughout the tryout process. These numbers are used by coaches and leadership when making player selections.
3. ATTENDANCE
Please attend all days of the tryouts. If you cannot attend one of the sessions or will be arriving late, then please let a member of staff know.
4. TIME | DURATION
Our tryouts generally consist of two sessions, one per day and run approximately 90 minutes.
5. WHAT TO WEAR
Players must wear appropriate footwear (cleats), shin guards and bring their own water bottle.
6. TRYOUT FORMAT

7. PLAYER SELECTION
Head coaches will confirm their selections after the final tryout session with the Director of Coaching. You will be informed via email within a few days of tryouts with information regarding the position offered. You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the position.
