WELCOME TO STING PENNSYLVANIA. THIS AREA OF OUR SITE GIVES INFORMATION ON ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS, OUR CLUB TEAMS AND STAFF HELD IN THIS DIVISION
Sting Pennsylvania has home fields based at the Iron Lakes Sports Club and Swain School.
Boasting competitive girls and boys Club Teams at every age group (U19-U11) and Academy level teams from U10-U6, we offer a fantastic environment for your child to develop their soccer education and learn from the city's best developmental staff and leadership.
With our ever expanding reach, our players compete in the highest available platforms available in the region. As we continue to expand the division we are educating and pushing all of our athletes to be the very best they can be.
STING PENNSYLVANIA OFFER MULTIPLE PLATFORMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL AGES, BOYS AND GIRLS
With our Pennsylvania division boasting multiple levels of play on multiple platforms, there are many ways for our athletes to learn and enjoy the game.
Our elite teams are given a great opportunity to compete against the very best teams in the region, with further chances to compete in national events at the end of the season, based on team rankings.
With both girls and boys in the organization, we present a competitive environment to further their development as they continue to pursue their soccer development and education.
NPL - THE NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUES IS A NATIONAL COMPETITION PLATFORM
It was created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by:
extending developmental principles espoused by U.S. Soccer into more •
age groups and clubs
linking competition with player development and identification platforms •
providing meaningful weekly competition culminating in a national postseason •
NPLs are leagues unified under one national competition platform and based on a common technical framework. More specifically, the NPL provides a platform:
focused on long-term player development •
for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level •
games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios and eliminate calendar congestion
integrated with the id² Program, which includes Player Development Programs •
(PDPs) in select local markets, and that works closely with U.S. Soccer staff regarding player identification, and player and coach development
designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs •
that provides an avenue for qualification for the Girls NPL Finals and US Club •

We are extremely proud to be one of the most successful soccer clubs in the United States of America.
For over 45 years we have developed and guided an incredible amount of athletes. They have continued their soccer education and pursued their dreams of winning and participating in elite level competitions, representing their country at national level and playing professional soccer in over 10 countries.
As a club that prides itself on competing at the very highest level, we have achieved multiple national championships, as well as creating a pathway to college soccer for all of our graduating athletes, with an extremely high percentage of those offered a college scholarship.

STING PENNSYLVANIA HOLD TRYOUTS TWICE A YEAR, ALLOWING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL ATHLETES INTERESTED IN RECEIVING HIGH-QUALITY TRAINING AND COMPETITIVE LEAGUE PLAY
1. REGISTRATION
When our tryouts are open, you will need to register online to ensure a quick checkin-in process. More information to follow when the tryout process is started.
2. CHECK IN
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the tryouts begin. Players will be assigned a number that is to be used throughout the tryout process. These numbers are used by coaches and leadership when making player selections.
3. ATTENDANCE
Please attend all days of the tryouts. If you cannot attend one of the sessions or will be arriving late, then please let a member of staff know.
4. TIME | DURATION
Our tryouts generally consist of two sessions, one per day and run approximately 90 minutes.
5. WHAT TO WEAR
Players must wear appropriate footwear (cleats), shin guards and bring their own water bottle.
6. TRYOUT FORMAT

7. PLAYER SELECTION
Head coaches will confirm their selections after the final tryout session with the Director of Coaching. You will be informed via email within a few days of tryouts with information regarding the position offered. You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the position.
