WELCOME TO STING CORPUS CHRISTI. THIS AREA OF OUR SITE GIVES INFORMATION ON ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS, OUR CLUB TEAMS AND STAFF HELD IN THIS DIVISION
STING CORPUS CHRISTI HAS BEEN GROWING IN STATURE IN SOUTH TEXAS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.
With teams competing at regional level, the development of our athletes has been fantastic.
Boasting competitive girls Club Teams at every age group, both girls and boys (U19-U11) and Academy level teams from U10-U6, we offer a fantastic environment for your child to develop their soccer education and learn from the best developmental staff and leadership in the area.
With our ever expanding reach, our players compete in the highest available platforms, currently the ECNL-RL STX and the WDDOA (more about those platforms below).
We also offer a Recreational program for athletes just starting out on their soccer pathway or are after a less competitive environment to learn and play the beautiful game.
STING CORPUS CHRISTI OFFERS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL AGES, BOTH GIRLS AND BOYS
WITH OUR CORPUS CHRISTI DIVISION BOASTING MULTIPLE LEVELS OF PLAY ON MULTIPLE PLATFORMS, THERE ARE MANY WAYS FOR OUR ATHLETES TO LEARN AND ENJOY THE GAME.
Our elite girls teams play in the ECNL-RL STX, they are given a great opportunity to compete against the very best teams in Texas with further chances to compete in national events at the end of the season, based on team rankings.
Our other Sting teams, both girls and boys, play in the WDDOA, the organization presents a competitive environment to further their development as they continue to push into the ECNL-RL STX. As mentioned above, we also offer a Recreational program for all players in a less competitive environment.
ECNL-RL STX - THE NEXT LEVEL OF REGIONAL SOCCER AVAILABLE TO ATHLETES IN CORPUS CHRISTI
FOLLOWING THE EXACT SAME PHILOSOPHIES AND PRINCIPLES AS THE ECNL, THE ECRL PROVIDES HIGH LEVEL COMPETITION FOR CLUBS AT A REGIONAL LEVEL.
Originally formed and then expanded in 2018, the league continues to demand and enhance the overall experience of every athlete by creating a better, more enjoyable, and more successful player, coach and development model.
ECNL Girls Regional Leagues are designed to service a deeper player pool from member clubs within the ECNL Girls, and to provide a competitive platform for objective evaluation of new clubs for full ECNL membership in the future.
Through a post-season pathway, top performing teams in ECNL Girls Regional Leagues earn the opportunity to compete in the Open Cup Division of the ECNL
Playoffs at the U15, U16 and U17 ages, where they will match up against other ECNL Girls Regional League qualifiers as well as member clubs of the ECNL.
Our San Antonio division has been very successful competing at this level with, multiple players playing in the ECNL and ECRL in Austin.

HAVING FUN BY PLAYING, AND BUILDING CHARACTER THROUGH SOCCER ARE WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN YOU SIGN UP YOUR PLAYER FOR THE STING CORPUS CHRISTI RECREATIONAL PROGRAM.
Our coaches create safe, challenging, inclusive soccer environments where players can experience the game, grow as individual players, learn sportsmanship and respect, and become a good teammate.
Through their recreational soccer experience, many players build the foundational skills and confidence to help them transition to more competitive Academy and Select soccer programs.
Critical to player success in our Recreational program is the support of the parent and volunteer coaching community.
Our Volunteer coaches are respected and community-focused in their contribution; and have great impact on the lives of the athletes within our program. They are provided curriculum guidance, coaching resources and access to coaching clinics by the Sting Austin Youth Development Director.

THE STING GIRLS PLAYER PATHWAY (CORPUS CHRISTI) OFFERS MULTIPLE LEVELS OF COMPETITION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR PLAYERS OF ALL SKILL LEVELS.
The Sting Girls Player Player Pathway (Corpus Christi) offers multiple levels of competition and development for players of all skill levels. The ECNL-RL STX is the highest level of competitive regional youth soccer we currently offer our athletes, amongst various other platforms.

WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD TO BE ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SOCCER CLUBS IN THE U.S.
For over 45 years we have developed and guided an incredible amount of athletes. They have continued their soccer education and pursued their dreams of winning and participating in elite level competitions, representing their country at the national level and playing professional soccer in over 10 countries.
As a club that prides itself on competing at the very highest level, we have achieved multiple national championships, as well as creating a pathway to college soccer for all of our graduating athletes, with an extremely high percentage of those in our programs offered a college scholarship.

STING CORPUS CHRISTI HOLD TRYOUTS TWICE A YEAR, ALLOWING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL ATHLETES INTERESTED IN RECEIVING HIGH-QUALITY TRAINING AND COMPETITIVE LEAGUE PLAY
OUR TRYOUT PROCEDURES.
1. REGISTRATION
When our tryouts are open, you will need to register online to ensure a quick checkin-in process. More information to follow when the tryout process is started.
2. CHECK IN
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the tryouts begin. Players will be assigned a number that is to be used throughout the tryout process. These numbers are used by coaches and leadership when making player selections.
3. ATTENDANCE
Please attend all days of the tryouts. If you cannot attend one of the sessions or will be arriving late, then please let a member of staff know.
4. TIME | DURATION
Our tryouts generally consist of two sessions, one per day and run approximately 90 minutes.
5. WHAT TO WEAR
Players must wear appropriate footwear (cleats), shin guards and bring their own water bottle.
6. TRYOUT FORMAT

7. PLAYER SELECTION
Head coaches will confirm their selections after the final tryout session with the Director of Coaching. You will be informed via email within a few days of tryouts with information regarding the position offered. You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the position.
